SUMMARY:UNPLUGGED Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Project Finding Calcutta invites you to a day of retreat. It’s FREE of cost and the dinner will be provided. It’s also a family friendly event\, so bring your kids (and dogs too). Unplug yourself from the busyness of life and experience beauty and joy as you relax at the farm. We are a tired generation. We need to relearn the art of leisure. We also need you to commit to the whole day. Event hopping defeats the purpose of our objective. \n\n\n\n9:00 Service Project1:00 Lunch at Buc-ees or somewhere on the way2:00 Social at the Farm4:00 Team building6:00 Communal dinner8:00 Bonfire and star gazing (optional) \n\n\n\nSERVICE (location): Please visit our website to know where we are meeting at for the service in the morning.https://projectfindingcalcutta.com/calendar/ \n\n\n\nFARM (address): It takes about 45 minutes to get there. SUMMARY:Dallas Volunteers @ St Gabriel’s
DESCRIPTION:Would you like to make a difference? Are you looking for service opportunities? \n\n\n\nJoin us for a half day to serve the poorest of the poor in the spirit of Mother Teresa. We will begin with fellowship and prayer at 9 a.m. and then separate into smaller groups to go comfort the elderly at nursing homes or do garden work for them\, help the Missionaries of Charity sisters in assisting low income families\, make lunch and serve at homeless shelters\, organize items at food pantries\, and/or feed the homeless on the streets. We usually finish around 12:30 p.m.\, but there will be lunch (optional) afterwards. \n\n\n\nThis is a family friendly event. Everyone that is planning to attend must RSVP here\, so we can let the places of service know how many people to expect. Like Mother Teresa said\, “let us do something beautiful for God.” \n\n\n\nINSTRUCTIONS:1. If this is your first time volunteering with us\, please Register here. \n\n\n\n2. Meet us at the Parish hall/gym. There will be signs. \n\n\n\n3. This is where it begins but most of you will go to different locations after the fellowship\, orientation\, and prayer\, so don’t be late. \n\n\n\n4. Not everyone will work in a soup kitchen or in a garden\, but please dress (casual) to be able to work wherever the need maybe. \n\n\n\n5. By serving with us\, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions (Liability Waiver). Everyone under 18 attending with a chaperone should print the Liability Waiver and have it signed by the parent before coming to the event. \n\n\n\n6. DESCRIPTION:Would you like to make a difference? Are you looking for service opportunities?\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin us for a half day to serve the poorest of the poor in the spirit of Mother Teresa. We will begin with fellowship and prayer at 9 a.m. and then separate into smaller groups to go comfort the elderly at a nursing home or do garden work for them\, help the Missionaries of Charity sisters in assisting low income families\, make lunch and serve at a homeless shelter\, organize items at a food pantry\, and/or feed the homeless on the streets. We finish by 12:30 p.m.\, but there will be lunch (optional) afterwards. \nThis is a family friendly event. Everyone that is planning to attend must RSVP here\, so we can let the places of service know how many people to expect. Please like us on Facebook\, follow us on Instagram to see the pictures\, and join GroupMe to be notified about upcoming events. Like Mother Teresa said\, “let us do something beautiful for God.” \nINSTRUCTIONS:1. Meet us at the Tower.2. Please know that this is where it begins but most of you will go to different locations after the fellowship\, orientation\, and prayer\, so don’t be late.3. Not everyone will work in a soup kitchen or in a garden\, but please dress to be able to work wherever the need maybe.4. By serving with us\, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions (Liability Waiver). Everyone under 18 attending with a chaperone should print the Liability Waiver and have it signed by the parent before coming to the event.5. Please do not go directly to the service locations\, out of respect for our collaborators\, our legal guidelines\, and your own safety.
