SUMMARY:Dallas Volunteers @ Missionaries of Charity
DESCRIPTION:Would you like to make a difference? Are you looking for service opportunities? \n\n\n\nJoin us for a half day to serve the poorest of the poor in the spirit of Mother Teresa. We will begin with fellowship\, prayer\, and the orientation\, and then we separate into smaller groups to go comfort the elderly at nursing homes\, work at a community garden\, help the Missionaries of Charity sisters in assisting low income families or homeless pregnant women\, make lunch and serve at soup kitchens\, organize items at food pantries\, and/or feed the homeless on the streets. \n\n\n\nWe usually finish around Noon\, and continue the fellowship by grabbing lunch together afterwards (optional). \n\n\n\nThis is a family friendly event\, so children of all ages are welcome. We encourage everyone to RSVP here\, so we can let the places of service know how many people to expect. Like Mother Teresa said\, “let us do something beautiful for God.” \n\n\n\nINSTRUCTIONS: \n\n\n\n1. LOCATION: Please meet us under the carport\, between Jesus and Mary. \n\n\n\n2. PROJECTS: The event begins at the location below but most of you will go to different service sites after the orientation\, so please don’t be late. \n\n\n\n3. NEW VOLUNTEERS: serving with us for the first-time\, please Register here before RSVPing to this event. Every one/family must sign these waivers before volunteering. \n\n\n\n4. GROUPS: Please send us a message before bringing 10+ volunteers from your group. \n\n\n\n5. MINORS: By serving with us\, everyone is agreeing to these terms and conditions (Liability Waiver). Everyone under 18 attending with a chaperone (without a parent) should print the Liability Waiver and have it signed by the parent BEFORE coming to the event\, and please present it to the Leader as soon as you arrive. \n\n\n\n6. DRESS CODE: Not everyone will serve soup from a kitchen or dig dirt for a garden\, but please dress (casual) to be able to work wherever the need maybe. \n\n\n\n7. PLEASE DO NOT go directly to the service locations\, out of respect for our collaborators\, our legal guidelines\, and for your own safety.

We will begin with fellowship\, prayer\, and the orientation\, and then we separate into smaller groups to go comfort the elderly at nursing homes\, feed the homeless on the streets\, help the Missionaries of Charity sisters in assisting low income families or homeless pregnant women\, work at a community garden\, make lunch and serve at soup kitchens\, and/or organize items at food pantries. \n\n\n\nMost weeks\, we continue the fellowship by grabbing lunch together (optional) after serving. \n\n\n\nThis is a family friendly event\, so children of all ages are welcome. We encourage everyone to RSVP here\, so we can let the places of service know how many people to expect. Like Mother Teresa said\, “let us do something beautiful for God.” \n\n\n\nSPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: \n\n\n\n1. LOCATION: Meet us at the parish hall/gym. Please follow the signs. \n\n\n\n2. PROJECTS: The event begins at the location below but most of you will go to different service sites after the orientation\, so please don’t be late. \n\n\n\n3. NEW VOLUNTEERS: serving with us for the first-time\, please Register here before RSVPing to this event. SUMMARY:Charity Run | Walk
DESCRIPTION:“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only Today. Let us begin.” – MOTHER TERESA \n\n\n\nProject Finding Calcutta is excited to announce its First Annual Charity 5K Run (or 2K Walk). We want this event to be both fun and meaningful. The run will start at the same time for everyone\, but you will be able to track your time (honor system)\, pausing to interact with the homeless along the track. We will give you snacks\, rosaries\, and water to run with\, and to be able to hand out to the poor. \n\n\n\nSpots are limited. We will accept the first 99 paid registrations. In order to participate\, you need to follow these 3 steps: \n\n\n\n\nSTEP 1: Fill the application and sign the Waiver for each individual\n\n\n\nSTEP 2: Pay $25 (or more) for each Runner/Walker\n\n\n\nSTEP 3: RSVP below\n\n\n\n\nIf someone else is paying for you\, please make sure your name is mentioned in the memo/note. We will match each participant in all 3 places (Waiver\, Payment\, and RSVP). \n\n\n\nWe meet at the Dallas City Hall and after the check-in\, instructions\, and prayer we run/walk to the Cathedral. We are glad you want to be a part of it. Finally\, this is a family friendly event for all age groups. Strollers are welcome too.

SUMMARY:Dallas Volunteers @ Mater Dei
DESCRIPTION:Would you like to make a difference? Are you looking for service opportunities? \n\n\n\nJoin us for a half day to serve the poorest of the poor in the spirit of Mother Teresa. We will begin with check-in\, fellowship\, and prayer at 9 a.m. and then separate into smaller groups to go comfort the elderly at nursing homes or do garden work for them\, help the Missionaries of Charity sisters in assisting low income families\, make lunch and serve at homeless shelters\, organize items at food pantries\, and/or feed the homeless on the streets. We usually finish around 12:30 p.m.\, but there will be lunch (optional) afterwards. \n\n\n\nThis is a family friendly event. Everyone that is planning to attend must RSVP here\, so we can let the places of service know how many people to expect. Like Mother Teresa said\, “let us do something beautiful for God.” \n\n\n\nINSTRUCTIONS: \n\n\n\n1. LOCATION: Meet us in the parking lot. Please consider attending 8:30 a.m. Mass beforehand if you could. \n\n\n\n2. PROJECTS: The event begins at the location below but most of you will go to different service sites after the fellowship\, orientation\, and prayer\, so please don’t be late. \n\n\n\n3. NEW VOLUNTEERS: serving with us for the first-time\, please Register here before RSVPing to this event. Everyone must sign these waivers before volunteering. One Waiver per family is sufficient. \n\n\n\n4. GROUPS: Please send us a message for the approval before bringing 10+ volunteers from your (parish\, school\, work\, or ministry) group. \n\n\n\n5. MINORS: By serving with us\, everyone is agreeing to these terms and conditions (Liability Waiver). Everyone under 18 attending with a chaperone (without a parent) should print the Liability Waiver and have it signed by the parent BEFORE coming to the event\, and present it to the Leader as soon as you arrive. \n\n\n\n6. DRESS CODE: Not everyone will serve soup from a kitchen or dig dirt for a garden\, but please dress (casual) to be able to work wherever the need maybe. We mostly visit those who are in need. \n\n\n\n7. PLEASE DO NOT go directly to the service locations\, out of respect for our collaborators\, our legal guidelines\, and for your own safety.
