A journey not only to a different part of the world but also into the depths of ones own heart. Experiencing different cultures is both refreshing and eye opening. Project Finding Calcutta organizes weekly service projects in the U.S. Your participation in one of its trips funds part of its local operations, serving the poorest of the poor in the West. By going on a Mission Trip or a Pilgrimage you are also giving the organization an opportunity to expand its reach in the US.

(WINTER PILGRIMAGE)

GOA | CALCUTTA | KERALA | NEW DELHI | AGRA | JAIPUR
This is a unique pilgrimage that takes place once in 10 years. First attraction is Goa. St. Francis Xavier, who is also known as the Apostle of the Far East, is considered to be one of the greatest missionaries since St. Paul the Apostle. His incorrupt body is 5 centuries old and it is put on display once every 10 years. We will venerate his holy relics, enjoy the Portuguese culture and relax at some beautiful beaches.
We will visit the home of Mother Teresa, attend daily mass at her tomb, and stop by the Home for the Dying (Nirmal Hriday) where it all began. We will also take the time to visit South India. St. Thomas the Apostle built the earliest Christian Churches in Kerala. Tracing his footsteps, we will experience Eastern rite Catholic Mass and retreat on a unique houseboat in the backwaters of Alleppey.
This trip is ideal for families, adults and active seniors as well. You will stay at very nice hotels and have very unique experiences. You will be immersed in the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of India. It will be an explosion of senses. Welcome dinner and daily breakfast are included. International flights and meals are not included. We will visit the places that make India distinct and incredible, like the majestic Taj Mahal, royal palaces of Jaipur, and the historic monuments of New Delhi. We will ride tuk tuks and elephants too!

CALCUTTA
We will visit the home of Mother Teresa, attend daily mass at her tomb, and serve the poorest of the poor alongside her sisters, the Missionaries of Charity. Our service to the children with special needs and the dying homeless will take us into the heart of need in Calcutta — the surrounding slums.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the Leper Colony, Mother Teresa museum, eat local foods, and immerse yourself in the street life as you walk through the streets of Calcutta. International flights and all meals are included.
