Cistercian Volunteers (students & parents ONLY)
March 21 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm CDT
Would you like to make a difference? Are you looking for service opportunities?
Join us for a half day to serve the poorest of the poor in the spirit of Mother Teresa. We will begin with fellowship and prayer at 9 a.m. and then separate into smaller groups to go comfort the elderly at nursing homes (TBD) in the area.
Most weeks, we continue the fellowship by grabbing lunch together (optional) after serving. It really helps with the unpacking of the experience.
This is a family friendly event, so children of all ages are welcome. Service opportunities change every week based on the number of our volunteers and the needs of our community partners. Everyone that is planning to attend must RSVP here, so we can let the places of service know how many people to expect. Like Mother Teresa said, “let us do something beautiful for God.”
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. If this is your first time volunteering with us, please Register here first. Then RSVP below.
2. Meet us at the Cistercian cafeteria.
3. This is where it begins but most of you will go to different locations after the fellowship, orientation, and prayer, so don’t be late.
4. Not everyone will work in a soup kitchen or in a garden, but please dress (casual) to be able to work wherever the need maybe.
5. By serving with us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions (Liability Waiver). Everyone under 18 attending without a parent but with a chaperone should print the Liability Waiver and have it signed by the parent before coming to the event.
6. Please do not go directly to the service locations, out of respect for our collaborators, our legal guidelines, and your own safety.
7. Please like us on Facebook, follow us on Instagram, and join GroupMe to be notified about upcoming events.
